Acer Laptop users are facing problem with the Webcam Driver while migrating to Windows 7. While other devices work with the Windows 7 inbuilt drivers, the Acer Crystal Eye Web cam device needs an explicit Driver.
Most of the available drivers give the error:
No Acer video capture device was detected on your system

ReplyDeleteIt worked for me as well. I installed Acer_Camera_Suyin_v.5.2.5.3_Win7x86x64 on my window 7 box and it worked. I downloaded it from http://www.mediafire.com/?ymtkznywym4 location.

ReplyDeleteThis link doesn¿t work with all acer pcs, notebooks, travellers,etc. I used the link and didn't work, Why? because not all Acer pcs use Suyin Camera, they use also Chicony, Cyberlink youcam. What I did and everybody must do, You have to make a backup of a file named Acer, or if you have 2 or 3 files that their name start with Acer, make a backup into your pc. In there are the drivera for your webcam, or if you didn't do, and can't get the drivers, the solution is go to Acer support, there you will give the model, that place will detect your windows version and will give you all the drivers not just for webcam, also for sound, video, etc. is easy and quick. I did that too, and there I found the rest of the drivers I needed. I had to change win 7 home basic to win 7 home premium and lost some drivers. But you can find them for free.
